I found this litecoin-project on github, but there are 3 commits since 2020, which is less than enough for live project

Check out GitHub - litecoin-project/litecoin: Litecoin source tree. Master has been updated 11 days ago.
Note also that people don’t commit directly into master, they do branches and pull requests. So you should also check out GitHub - litecoin-project/litecoin at 0.21. Which is the tree that is being used and also @david @losh11 github and @coblee (among others) to see more action.
