LTC - problem with sync (old wallet)

Hello,

I have an old wallet from 2018 (transactions were made only in that year)

If I open the wallet, I can see the transaction history from the moment the backup was made. LTC Core starts to synchronize and if the synchronization time exceeds the first transaction I see in the hostori, it closes the application without any errors. Then I can run the same situation, it synchronizes from the last point and closes the application at the same time. I checked on 4 different computers and on different versions of LTC core and still the same problem.

Any idea ?

I will only add that if I start synchronization without a wallet connected, it will go smoothly, and as soon as I open the wallet, the application closes immediately.

Can you share the log file please? In your post it’s not correctly formatted, so it’s really hard for us to read.

I am uploading the entire log file, but to my eye there is nothing there that indicates any error.

An interesting fact is that if I have my wallet open and start syncing and it hits 1 transaction, it closes the application and doesn’t even save the status, it just starts again from the last saved moment.

If I close the wallets, they all synchronize their status for 1 transaction and open them, the application immediately closes.

Until the first transaction in May 2018, it will synchronize correctly.

For tests:

To trigger an error and check if something helped, I close the application manually a month earlier so that then when synchronizing I wait only for 1 month to load and not from the previous state.

Are there more detailed logs somewhere?

the logs in the wallet directory itself are empty.

FWIW, i’d just delete the blocks folder in the Litecoin data directory, and restart Litecoin Core. Only make sure to keep wallets/ and wallet.dat, everything else can be deleted. It’s possible that your wallet.dat is somehow corrupt also. So if everything else fails, from a clean Litecoin Core, create a new wallet and send your coins to a new wallet.

I also tried to do the same thing, I recreated the wallet from the same file about a year ago (I have it in an email attachment) and then everything was fine, I sent part of the LTC to the exchange, now I wanted to send the rest and I just encountered this problem.

I don’t see LTC +/- balances, but without synchronization, the transaction probably won’t go through

What other options do I have?
I must admit that this is strange to me because it throws the application without any error in the logs, and there is nothing interesting, is there an option to run some more detailed logs?

You can use the console command dumpwallet which should dump out a lot of private keys. Or you can specify the address you want using the dumprivkey command. Then import into another wallet like electrum-ltc etc.
