Litecoin core (what is the best way to save it and store it?)

Hello I would like some understanding to using the Litecoin core as a cold storage offline wallet is it possible for me to move whatever document’s my wallet is saved on to a usb after I get a new pc and move it to that one or keep it on the usb or do I just need to save the password I made to access the wallet from any Pc???

I use trezor 5 as a cold storage just would like to use Litecoin core to put some LTC Token’s on their to support the network! and just want to know if it would be safe if i put on and forget for a few year’s sorta thing :slight_smile: Cheer’s!

You should save your private keys.
And store those someplace.

Hi there. I personally use Electrum-LTC. Litecoin Core is most useful if you are going to run a node which I do encourage as it helps the network.

The official Electrum-LTC wallet is painfully out of date, however another community member (Hector Chu) has updated the electrum-ltc wallet to the latest electrum base and you can find the updated electrum wallet under the username ‘ltc-electrum‘ on Github (Not allowed to post links here).

Make sure to verify the wallet executable with it’s PGP key first.

With Electrum you can simply export your wallet as a file and save it on your USB. Or import a wallet. It also supports MWEB.

If you want to run a node just remember to enable port forwarding for port 9333 on your router so other nodes can connect to you. That way you help decentralize the network further.
