Is there any way to read a dat file content?

I would like to find my wallet.
I have 3 dat file backups and I am not sure if I have the correct one or it was overwritten. In any case, I am on linux and I am unable to complete the restoring process for some reason. So I wanted to read the dat file to extract my private keys from it.

Litecoin and Bitcoin run pretty close, you can try and get your keys
