Hi, Just came across my old Litecoin private key. Is there a way to load the wallet with the private key anywhere. Litecoin Core is stuck syncing, and I know of no other wallets support private key address\wallet import. Help Appreciated.
The fastest way to import your litecoin private key would be to import it with Electrum-LTC. Unlike Litecoin Core, it’s a light client wallet, so it doesn’t need to sync the entire litecoin blockchain, which can take many hours-days.
Make sure to only download Electrum-LTC from the official website at https://electrum-ltc.org. In the past there have been fake links on Google. If you are unsure, you’ll be able to find a link to Electrum-LTC from the litecoin.com website.
Could you please give a decent guide how to do this as well?
Never seen that option
Hi! Yes, you can import your Litecoin private key into a few different wallets. Since Litecoin Core is syncing slowly, try Electrum-LTC (the Litecoin version of Electrum)—it supports private key imports without requiring a full sync. Alternatively, Coinomi and Exodus wallets also allow private key imports for Litecoin. If you’re comfortable with command-line tools, Litecoin’s litecoin-cli
can import the key directly. Just ensure you’re using a trusted wallet and never share your key. If syncing is the main issue, consider using a light wallet or fetching your balance via a block explorer like blockchair dot com/litecoin . Hope this helps!
