Difference between coins and tokens?

Are coins and token different from each other or just another name for coins?

Token - Built on another blockchain (Ethereum, NEO, Waves, Etc.)

Coin - Built on its own native blockchain

a token is a representation of a physical asset listed on a blockchain…
a coin is a digital token in and of itself…or a value locked behind a cryptographic key…
neither can be counterfeited without a 51% attack…

The coins are native to their own block chain. Meanwhile, the tokens are generated on another Blockchain, as is the case with Ethereum or NEO.
