Cannot transfer LTC - am asked for a passphrase

Hi,
I am heavily invested in LTC, currently using litecoin core 32. I wish to transfer some LTC but I cannot complete the transaction because I’m being asked for a passphrase; this is new to me, and I do not recall ever being asked for one.
Please advise.

did you ever resolve this? I have the same problem. I never setup a passphrase yet it’s asking for one.

I honestly think that after more than 3 months nobody should ask. If the OP still had problems he would definitely have asked for more help already.
