Hi all. I maintain **Blazecoin (BLZ)**, a scrypt proof-of-work coin that launched in May 2014 and whose chain has never stopped. Same algorithm as Litecoin, so the scrypt ASICs and USB sticks you already own work on
it unchanged.
It is a small network: today almost all of the hashrate is my own rigs, which is exactly why I am asking here. A few independent miners would make it far healthier.
**What is there**
- Node rebuilt on Bitcoin Core 28 (standard RPC, getblocktemplate), open source
- 30-second blocks, difficulty retargets every block, so a small miner finds steady shares and doesn’t stall the chain when big hashrate leaves
- Public pool: `stratum+tcp://blazecoin.co.uk:3333`, 1% fee, PROP, payouts every 15 minutes, vardiff
- Solo mining against your own node works too
**To be clear:** it is not merge-mined with LTC/DOGE, and there is no exchange listing, so this is for people who like keeping an old scrypt chain alive, not for profit.
**Getting started:** register a miner on the pool page ( Login - Blazecoin ) to get a worker name and secret. Sign-up is invite-only for now; free codes are given out in our Discord (linked on the site).
Happy to answer questions about the pool, the node or the retarget.
