I have tried to retrieve my Litecoin purchased long ago but wallet in use in 2014. updated this year now currency does not appear in the wallet. I have the dat file safe but how do I retrieve my actual Litecoin please. any help would be good
Make a duplicate of the dat file. The move that copy into the Litecoin directory (you can find the exact path on google for your operating system). Then resync your wallet. Just search up how to resync bitcoin wallet, and then follow it, changing all the bitcoin references to litecoin. Wait until your wallet finishes syncing, and you’ll have access to your coins.
